Our Company

eSchoolData - division of CCSI formed in March 2000

eSchoolData, LLC formed in June 2008
Due to the dramatic growth and success of the eSchoolData division, a separate company - eSchoolData, LLC - was formed in June 2008. John R. Riconda, CEO and President, and Ann M. Savino, Executive Vice President, are the founders of the new company.

In the beginning...
The software developed by eSchoolData was funded in part by a study conducted through the US Department of Education utilizing a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grant. The purpose of the study was to explore the feasibility of designing a new breed of information management systems that would eliminate the need for school districts to compile complex reports to meet State and Federal reporting mandates.

The eSchoolData system was developed prior to the enactment of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) in 2001; however, because the eSchoolData Student Information and Performance Management system strictly adheres to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) design standards, required data elements were already intelligently embedded into the system. As a result, and as originally intended, eSchoolData automatically produces complex reports in accordance with NCLB and State accountability standards. Additionally, our flexible database design allows the quick, easy, and transparent addition of data elements required to meet the unique reporting needs of many States and Districts.

Today eSchoolData is successfully deployed in four states and and is actively pursuing growing into other key states including Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, California, Texas, and others. Our current customer base includes single schools, entire school districts, Regional Service Centers, Intermediate Units, and States. It is available as either a locally hosted model or as an ASP SaaS (Software as a Service) model.  eSD offers licensing and deployment options to fit all of our customers needs.

eSchoolData Next Generation...
eSchoolData is not just a product enhancement, but an entirely new all encompassing enterprise-grade system that takes advantage of the latest technologies and transcends the capabilities of a typical student management system. Built on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), eSD® is the most extensible system on the market – or even on the horizon. eSD® not only supports the SIF 2.x framework (both as a publisher and a subscriber) but it also provides data via web-services that allow third-party products to access data directly and securely.   eSD® is currently in production and was officially launched to our existing customers, partners, and the K-12 market on January 14th, 2009.   Proudly, we have implemented this system to our new clients, as well as successfully transitioned many of our current clients to this new system.
